The La Cafferia brand was started in the 1990s as a recognisable name for the coffee roasting company’s coffee houses and a range of premium products. Blends and single-origin coffees for espresso, moka and filtered coffee. With over forty years of technical know-how and skills we run a highly professional, high-tech operation yet still maintain that touch of artisan tradition which has always set us apart from our competitors.

More La Cafferia stores have opened over the years in partnership with the Rizzi family and introduced the brand to the towns of Saronno, Legnano, Gallarate, Como, Luino and Turate. In each of these stores you will find the same flavour, conscientious customer service, fine quality products, and more importantly the same innate, instinctive passion.

La Cafferia stores are the epitome of our coffee culture. Our founder Ferruccio Rizzi saw the future of roasting extending beyond the walls of a factory.
He wanted to create a place with a culture that revolved around coffee where people could actually sample his products as well as buy them. So he opened his first coffee house in Varese’s historic city centre.

Torrefazione El Miguel and Barman At Work, a renowned company in the Varese area, have joined forces to bring you the Barista Workshop.
A new barista training centre with courses offering comprehensive training on everything from coffee houses to the world of flair and pizzazz. Different levels of courses are available ranging from amateur aficionados to industry professionals.
